Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit
within Me.--Psalm 51:10
God can only create a clean heart in us when we are far away
from sins. He will bring good out of our failures and even out of our sins. Even
David's sin of adultery and murder were disfiguring stain and it’s so ugly in
the present of God. Did God cast David aside because of this? No, instead of
casting David aside, God turned all the ugliness sins into a thing of beauty by
inspiring David to write two psalms of repentance and forgiveness. The two
psalms are ‘psalm 32 and 51’. These two psalms have brought comfort, a clean heart
and hope to repentant sinner for centuries.
God never condones sin. Nor does He spare His chastening rod.
When we confess and we move far away from sins, He will begin a new work in our
heart. God removes the blot of sin entirely. Then He makes us stronger and more
useful than we were before.
