And God saw
that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination
of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD
that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and
beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me
that I have made them.(KJV)
Genesis 6:5-7
If a thief was caught, the
thief will have never expected that he will be caught that day, he will have forgotten
that every day is for the thief but one day is for the owner. That is exactly
how God is coming.
Since Noah’s day, when God
destroyed the wicked people with water. Like the people that doesn't have God
fear in mind now a day. Noah’s neighbors lived in complacency. But corruption
made there complacency even more deadly. They never thought their evil ways
would never catch out with them because God have been warning them for so many
years. But God stepped in unexpectedly.
I have been noticing that
sometimes we act as if we believe God is inactive and that our security is
reinforced with concrete and steel. But that’s only the way it seems. Time
always catches up with us, as it did in Noah’s day. Jesus has promised to come
back to this world unexpectedly. Are you waiting for His? Am I also waiting for
Him? Let us ask ourselves this question and we should all make sure that we are
not living in sin’s danger zone when He will returns.
